Laxachusetts Lacrosse stands out on the national scene
This past weekend, the Laxachusetts Lacrosse Club 2012 AA team won the King of the Hill Lacrosse Tournament at Swathmore College in Swathmore, PA. in front of dozens of Division 1 and Division 3 college lacrosse coaches. Competing against 27 other top club teams from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, California and the midwest, the Laxachusetts boys ran the table.
After preliminary play for seedings, in the playoffs Laxachusetts beat Titanium (the Under Armour Midwest Regional team), 13-6, in the quarterfinals, the Fighting Clams of Massachusetts, 9-6, in the semis and the Alcatraz Outlaws (Southern California ), 9-2, in the championship game. The team is a combination of 8 Duxbury boys and 10 top players from around Boston. Tournament All-Stars were Kevin Blair (Hingham), Seamus Connolly (Duxbury), James Burke (Duxbury), Matt O’Keefe (Duxbury), Joe Kruy (Phillips Andover), Jay McDermott, (Duxbury), Jack Connelly (St. Sebastian’s) and Henry Buonagurio (Duxbury).
