Laxachusetts Coaching Staff.

As you can see from this very long list, we have the deepest coaching staff out of any club program in Massachusetts.

We have 12+ Coaches who were Multi Year College All Americans, we have former college coaches, almost all are high school coaches, and also experienced at the youth level developing young players.

We feel the Coaching Staff is what truly makes a program great. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing mix of Coaches with tremendous backgrounds as both Elite level players and Coaches.

You add our incredibly talented coaching staff with the focus on development through our intensive indoor training programs held at multiple indoor facilities throughout Massachusetts and the results are all seen here with our players able to go to amazing college programs.

There are no short cuts in development. You need a very structured, intense, development program that teaches all of the basic fundamentals of the game from guys who have played this game at the highest level.

Matt Noone -
Matt is currently the head coach at Foxboro High School where he has helped build the Foxboro program, from the ground up, over the last 15 years. A native of NY, Matt went to MacArthur High School in Levittown NY, he was a two time Junior College All American at Nassau Community College. Matt continued his education and playing career at the University of Massachusetts and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors in Sports Management. Upon graduation from UMass, Matt began his coaching career with stints at Nassau Community College, where he helped guide the Lions to two National Championships, and Adelphi University, where the Panthers won the National Championship in 2000.  Matt is a Wellness teacher at the Ahern Middle School in Foxboro Ma. A native of Weymouth, Mass...Played Collegiately at Southern New Hampshire University where he currently ranks second in Penmen history in career goals, assists, and total points for the men's lacrosse team...owns the school-record for points in a season by a freshman. Mike Lonergan -

Rich Leblanc - 

Rich was assistant coach with the Varsity and JV programs for several years at Wellesley High School. During this time Wellesley won 3 Eastern Mass and 1 State title.  Natick Youth Lacrosse U15 coordinator and coach. Mike Brazis - 

Mike played Goalie collegiately both at The Ohio State University and the University of New England and is a founding member of the South Shore Wompatucks men's post collegiate lacrosse club (currently in its 20th year of existence). Mike coached the Varsity programs for several years at Hingham High School (his Alma mater and a member of their 86' Massachusetts State Championship team) and is the director of Hingham's Little Laxers Kindergarten program and is the 7th grade and 3rd  grade coordinator at HYL boys and the 4th grade Girls Coordinator.  Mike has over 30 years of lacrosse experience. Rob McCarthy -

15 years coaching experience. Coached at Weymouth High School for 11 years, 5 as the head coach, and was Bay State League coach of the year in 2007.  Former director of Weymouth Youth Lacrosse, and also coached youth lacrosse in Abington and Hingham. Laxachusetts Coach 2007 - Present.

Brian Read - 

Brian is a Baltimore native graduating from Boys' Latin School of Maryland in 2002 with a MIAA Championship and National Ranking of #2 his senior year. He went on to play at Dickinson College, where he earned All-American and All Centennial Conference teams. Brian graduated from Dickinson in 2006 ranked as the #2 All-time points, #3 All-time goals and #4 All-time assists leader in school history. In fall of 2016, his first year of eligibility, Brian will be inducted into Dickinson College's Athletic Hall of Fame. Laxachusetts Coach 2012 - Present

Bob Spiegel - 

Grew up in Rochester, NY and played midfield and long pole middie at West Irondequoit High School. Played Club lax at Purdue University his freshman year and then transfrerred/walked on at Division 1 Cornell University and played 2 seasons under Coach Richie Moran (1985 & 1986). Played for various club teams and leagues after college in the Boston area. Retired from playing lax in 1993 and went on to achieve first degree black belt in Kenpo karate. Married with 4 kids and a wife and reside in Plymouth. Plymouth Youth lacrosse board of directors and Plymouth youth coach since 2007. Assistant Varsity Coach Plymouth South High School since 2016.Laxachusetts Coach 2014 - present

Tim Gardner - 

Played high school at Episcopal Academy (PA). Played lacrosse and football at Williams College. Assistant coach at Suffield Academy (1993-94) and Bancroft School (1995-98). Currently is a math teacher and the Head Lacrosse Coach at Xaverian Brothers HS (1999 - present). Led Xaverian to win or tie the Catholic Conference seven times and win the 2013 Div. I State Championship. Named the Boston Globe All-Scholastic Div. 1 Coach of the Year (2007 and 2013), BostonLax.net DI Coach of the Year (2013) and four time Catholic Conference Coach of the Year. Tom O'Rourke -

Tim Vetrano -

Tim is originally from Manhasset, Long Island where he graduated from Manhasset High School in 1987, playing under Hall of Famers Alan Lowe,  Bob Rule and current coach Bill Cherry.  Over the years he has played with and against many All-Americans in both high school and college.   He was a four (4) year starter at Midfield and Attack for the then Division 1 University of New Hampshire (1988-1991).   He is currently on the Norwell Youth Lacrosse Board, 7 years and counting.  Has been coaching youth lacrosse in Norwell and at various clubs since 2007.  Laxachussets coach since 2015

Eric Curry -

Eric was an NCAA First Team All-American selection at Hobart College and a member of Hobart’s NCAA National Champion and Runner Up teams. Eric remains in the Hobart College record books on their all-time career goals and points list.

He was a standout All American attackman at Auburn High School in Upstate New York. In 2013, Eric was recognized and inducted into the Auburn Sports Hall of Fame for his standout lacrosse career. Curry also served as the Assistant Coach of lacrosse at DIII Rochester Institute of Technology for two years while beginning his professional sales endeavor at Xerox Corporation. Today, Eric is a leader in the Concord Carlisle youth lacrosse program. Laxachusetts Coach 2014 - Present

Luke Murray –

Played for Pine Bush High School in New York and was and earned All American Honors. Played college ball at C.W. Post University from 2010-2013. Member of the 2010 D2 National Championship team

Tim Chorey –

Greg Burrill –

Greg has over 30 years of lacrosse coaching/playing experience.  Upon graduating from Umass Boston he began coaching for Sudbury Youth in 1993.  Currently he is a boys director for Scituate Youth where he has been coaching for the last 10 years.  Greg still plays for the South Shore Womps club team and has a daughter and two sons who all play lacrosse.  Laxachusetts coach 2014-present

Daggett Morse -

Played locally at Catholic Memorial High School ('07), Hartwick College ('11) and internationally at Leicester University (UK, '12). Assistant Varsity Coach at Medfield High School since the 2013 season - Eastern Mass Champions and State Runners Up in 2013, Division 2 State Champions in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Tim Winslow –

From Newbury, MA Coach Winslow attended The Governor's Academy where he was a 3 sport varsity athlete.  He played collegiately at Widener University winning 2 MAC Conference Titles and playing in the DIII NCAA tournament each time.  He lead his team in caused turnovers and ground balls for 3 straight years earning 2 MAC All-Conference Selections.  Following his collegiate career he began coaching at Widener University before moving back to MA to coach at The Governor's Academy where he served as Assistant Coach for the past 2 seasons before becoming Head Coach for the 2016/17 season. Brian Riehl –

Bryan played high school lacrosse at Loyola Blakefield in Baltimore, MD winning an MSA “A” conference championship.  He went on to play college lacrosse at Hobart College where he was captain of the ’96 team and a member of the ’93 National Championship team.  Bryan received the Kent W. Marbury award for character/dedication and is ranked #3 all time for ground balls while playing at Hobart. Laxachusetts Coach 2014 – Present

"Lacrosse goalie coach who has been part of the Winchester, Ma lacrosse family for 5 plus years where I serve as the Winchester youth lacrosse goalie coach and the past two years the Winchester HS lacrosse goalie coach. Assistant/Goalie coach at the college level for both Lasell College (2013) and Wentworth Institute Technology (2014).  Hailing from Long Island, NY; attended Seaford, High School. 3 year starter and 2 year captain for the Seaford Vikings.  Received All-County selections 3 consecutive years after becoming the full-time starter in my sophomore year. Selected to the All-Long Island Honorable Mention team and Honorable Mention All-American in my senior season.

College career - Lasell College in Newton, MA, ultimately starting all 4 years and captaining the team junior and senior years. A 2- time Team MVP, 2004 Rookie of the Year selection by the Division 3 Pilgrim league conference and named to the All-conference team all 4 years. Led NCAA Division 3 college lacrosse in statistical save percentage freshman year (67.7%), anchored a defense that was consistently ranked in the top 5 nationally the entire 2008 season, named to the 2008 All New-England team senior year. Presently holds every single Lasell College goalie statistical record in terms of overall saves, saves in a game, save percentage, and goals against average in a season and career. Ranking 5th all-time in career saves in Division 3 history (913), 19th all-time in Division 3 for saves per game (14.97), and 13th all-time in Division 3 for minutes played in career (3,508)." Laxachusetts Coach 2014 – Present

 "Matty Jewers is currently serves as the assistant coach at Austin Prep High School. Previously Assistant coach of the Bridgewater State College Mens Lacrosse Team.  former Goalie Coach and defensive coordinator for the NCAA Division II Coker College Men’s Lacrosse team. Also a former Goalie Coach for Boston University Club program two years before it went Varsity. Matt started his coaching career at Salem State College as assistant coach,  immediately after completing his playing career.Matt is a 2003 graduate of Salem State College where he played four years of lacrosse and was the team Captain his Senior Year. Prior to Salem Sate, Matt played lacrosse at Malden Carholic High School. After Salem State, he worked as a goalie specialist with many top New England programs from Youth to Men.
